Humantay Lake Tour Full Day

The Humantay Lake Tour begins at 4:00 a.m. with a pickup from your hotel, followed by departure toward Soraypampa. Along the way, under the light of dawn, we will cross the vast plains of the Anta Pampa and descend into the fertile Limatambo Valley. Then, we will leave the Cusco–Lima highway and take the detour toward the district of Mollepata. In this picturesque town, we will make a brief stop to pay the entrance fees to Humantay Lake before continuing our ascent to Soraypampa, the starting point of the trek.

During the journey, we will enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant prepared by local chefs. Once in Soraypampa, we will prepare to begin the ascent to Humantay Lake. Immediately afterward, we will start the hike, which will take approximately 1.5 hours.

Upon arriving at Humantay Lake (4,200 meters above sea level), we will observe the turquoise color of the calm waters and the vibrant hues of the surrounding natural landscapes: mountains, snow-capped peaks, streams, and exotic flora and fauna. Under the watchful gaze of the Humantay glacier, on the shores of the lake, we will receive a brief explanation about the area, the weather conditions, and the traditions of the locals. Finally, we will take a walk around the lake to closely observe the unique beauty of the place.

Later, after enjoying the natural beauty of Humantay Lake, the Humantay glacier, and the Salkantay mountain, we will return for lunch. In the afternoon, after an exciting day, we will begin our journey back to the city of Cusco. Our team will drop you off at Regocijo Square, from where you can return to your respective hotels.
